We Offer Scholarships
Each student MUST meet each requirement and sign their initials in the “My Commitment” section of the online application form.

Be a currently enrolled PUC Student
- Must be registered with at least 12 credit hours or be an approved full-time student.
- Must have no financial hold and be cleared by Student Finance
- Have a finalized class schedule before the start of each quarter.
- Have already filled-out & submitted the online application form to join the ministry.
Auditioned in the Spring Quarter of the previous school year.
- For Currently Enrolled Students
- Auditions are held the 2nd week of Spring Quarter
- Sign-ups will be open during Spring Break until the 1st week of Spring Quarter (email announcements will be sent)
- Students who have already participated in this ministry the previous year are exempted from auditioning.
- For Incoming Freshmen
- Fill out the online application form to join the ministry.
- Upload an audition video that highlights your skills.
- Write and send a 100-word paragraph stating a personal reason to join the ministry. This is just an indicator to gauge the student's personal understanding and commitment to this ministry's goals.
Maintain a minimum of 2.5 GPA.
- Education/Academics should be any student’s priority and knowing how to manage a well-balanced lifestyle is key to a successful college experience.
- If a student’s GPA dips below 2.5, their scholarship will automatically be revoked from their account, and they will have to temporarily sit out of any activities until they can bring their grades back up again.
Have a genuine passion, love for ministry, and participate with a positive mindset.
- Ministry in general can take a toll on one’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This ministry heavily involves utilizing one's social skills in creating genuine connections with people.
- Having a genuine love for connecting with people and providing a service to them is the biggest impact a member of this ministry can make.
- Keeping a positive mindset and not giving up easily, especially when things go south, is what drives a ministry forward.
- Making sure to communicate well and respectfully helps create a healthy environment and to keep a ministry progressing positively.
Participate in at least 3 off-campus visits per quarter.
- Either a church or school within the Pacific Union will be requesting PUC’s presence in any of their events
- Each team will be put on rotation depending on the team’s availability.
Participate in at least 2 on-campus events per quarter.
- There are various events on campus such as vespers, pre-vespers, various worships, College Days, and many others.
- Each team can choose which one they would like to lead out in.
Be proactive in scheduled rehearsals/practices.
- Frequently check for announcements on the Teams Channel and accept calendar invitations that pertain to their specific team.
- Whether it is with the team, or individually, each member is required to practice their part at least once a week to make sure they know what is happening.
- Once a student is placed in a team, they are personally responsible for letting their team leader know of their availability to practice with the team once in accordance with their class schedule for that quarter.
- Advanced notification of tardiness must be communicated to a team leader AT LEAST 30 minutes before the scheduled practice time.
- If a student is unavailable to attend a scheduled practice, their team leader must be communicated to AT LEAST 1 hour before the scheduled practice time.
Attend the 2 Evaluation Meetings at the beginning and end of each quarter.
- Once accepted as a member of the ministry team, each member is required to attend the evaluation meeting to be updated on upcoming events and provide comments on how the ministry can improve.
- The meetings will always be in person, but if a member cannot attend in person, they will have to join the Teams Meeting online.
The student's placement in which tier they can handle will be determined during the audition process under the discretion of the Connect Ministry Director.
Student Coordinator (SC)
*NOTE: This Position will be determined by the Theology Department ChairDescription:
- The student must be a Theology Major as this is an internship-style position in collaboration with the Theology Department and their curriculum requirements.
- Only ONE student is eligible to apply for this position for 1 academic year.
- If they would like to apply again, it will have to be evaluated by their Academic Advisor & Theology Department Chair as well as approved by both the Enrollment Director & Enrollment VP
- The goal of this ministry is for it to be primarily student-led. Hence, creating the right environment for students to exercise their leadership skills is the driving force.
Responsibilities:
- Their key role is to help the Connect Ministry Coordinator manage the weekly schedule and learn how to administratively manage a ministry with the guidance of their Theology Advisor as well as the Connect Ministry Coordinator.
- They are to handle ALL the online visit requests that come through to the email inbox and actively update the events calendar spreadsheet. (Refer to Ministry Roles for a detailed description.)
- They are to also manage whatever email inquiries come through and respond according to the best of their abilities. If questions arise, they are to seek help and guidance from the Ministry Coordinator.
- They oversee handling the meetings & events on behalf of the Ministry Coordinator. Most especially when the Ministry Coordinator is unavailable or absent.
- They are responsible for keeping track and documenting the tasks they have completed each week.
- They are to meet weekly with the Ministry Coordinator and Advisor to ensure they are completing the curriculum requirements.
Scholarship Amount: $2,500 annually
Leadership Team Member (LT)
Description
- This position is pre-assigned by audition & interview.
- They must have a basic understanding of how to lead a team and must have effective communication skills.
- They must also have experience of being part of a worship team and working well with others.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe space for their team where every member is actively involved.
- Create lyric slides for their song set.
- Communicate with their team members by utilizing the Teams Channel to set up practice times and discuss possible set lists.
- Coordinate with the ministry advisors & directors to provide guidance in their team’s practice sessions.
- They must attend a weekly meeting with the ministry directors, share progress reports, and discuss future events/visits.
Scholarship Amount: $2,000 annually
Regular Ministry Member (M)
Description
- Any PUC student who meets the basic requirements can be a member.
- They will be placed in a team and actively participate in any of the events.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to their team leader and be a proactive team player.
- Come to each practice/rehearsal prepared and ready to not waste precious practice time.
- Actively respond to anything their team leader is communicating to the team.
Scholarship Amount: $1,200 annually
A-Team Member (A)
Description
- They are part of a last-minute team when none of the main teams are available and/or prepared for any event.
- They are also the team who will be attending ALL the summer events.
- They have musical skills that only require 1-2 practices before the event.
Responsibilities
- Show up to the only scheduled practice prepared & ready.
- Must be willing to be requested upon last-minute.
- Fully participate in each event with all the energy they can possibly bring.
Cash Amount: $50-$100/event
