Missions & Chaplain Services

Serve With Love

Nearly a decade ago, PUC students traveled to Fiji to help with an evangelistic campaign. In the years since, students have returned to build Mana Island SDA School, teach classes, and provide much-needed supplies and technology. But these annual trips mean even more than that. For PUC, serving those in Mana is about commitment, relationships, and love.

Service

At Pacific Union College, students are encouraged to engage actively in ministry through various enriching opportunities. Whether through participation in worship services (Vespers, Afterlight, Glow, Church Service, Week of Prayers, Dorm and Hall Worship) or joining student-led Bible study groups (Collegiate Sabbath School and Life Groups), students can deepen their faith and build meaningful connections. The Office of Service, Justice, and Missions collaborates with the PUC Church and Theology Department to empower students interested in ministry and offer leadership development programs, mentorship opportunities, and a platform to organize and lead their initiatives.

Justice

At Pacific Union College, students have various avenues to engage in food pantry and homeless ministries through collaborative efforts with Service Learning. They can volunteer their time at local shelters or food banks, distributing meals and essentials to those in need. Additionally, students may organize donation drives within the campus community to collect food, clothing, and other necessities for homeless individuals. Service Learning initiatives facilitate hands-on experiences, allowing students to interact with marginalized populations while gaining a deeper understanding of social justice issues. Through these opportunities, students embody the values of compassion and service central to their Christian education.

Missions.jpg

Missions

Pacific Union College students have the opportunity to engage in short-term and long-term missions through collaborative efforts with various organizations. In the short term, students can participate in mission trips during breaks, assisting with projects such as community development, education, or healthcare in different regions. For long-term commitments, students can partner with organizations for internships or volunteer placements, dedicating extended periods to serving communities locally or abroad. These collaborations provide valuable experiences for students to apply their skills and share their faith while making a lasting impact on communities in need.
