Duties
Position Requirements:
- Attend Daily Morning Worship Meeting
- Available to report for duty during emergency call backs
- Have a good working knowledge of the Uniform Plumbing Code
- Have a working knowledge of commercial fire sprinklers systems and current NFPA codes
- Reside in Angwin
- Participate in the on-call rotation
- Perform each essential duty satisfactorily

General Duties & Responsibilities:

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage systems, sewage systems, fire sprinklers systems, air lines, natural gas, and propane fuel gas systems
- Cuts and threads pipe
- Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- Fills pipe system with water or air to check for leaks with pressure gauges
- Inspects commercial, industrial, and residential plumbing systems and installations for conformance to government codes, sanitation standards, and construction specifications when using outside contractors
- Inspects structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent structural damage from pipe installation
- Inspects water supply systems, drainage and sewage systems, water heaters, fire sprinkler systems, compressed air lines, and gas supply lines
- Installs and calibrates plumbing fixtures
- Locates and marks position of pipe, pipe connections, and passage holes for pipes in walls, floors and underground
- Machine and equipment set-up and operation
- Operates, manages, and maintains the "small natural gas system" at the mobile home park
- Planning and prioritizing jobs & projects
- Studies building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required, and installation sequence
- Other duties as assigned

- Responsible for supervising student employees
- Ability to plan, manage multiple projects, and work well under pressure
- Ability to reason, be decisive, follow through, and complete projects

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma required, College Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years experience as a Journeyman Plumber in both residential and commercial applications required
Computer Skills
- Working knowledge of computers, printers, and Microsoft Office Working knowledge of databases
- Skills necessary for utilizing our SchoolDude work order system
Certificates and Licenses
Journeymen’s Card required; Operators of Small Natural Gas Systems from the DOT/TSI/CPUC, and Heat fusion polyethylene gas piping and gas-tite type flexible gas line Certifications preferred; State of California Class C Driver License required

Compensation
Hourly; Compensation based on education and experience: $20-25 per hour
