Duties
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to plan and execute projects
- Ability to read schematics
- Assist other tradesmen
- Ability to estimate job and material costs
- Follow and enforce safety regulations
- Maintain a clean, clutter free, and organized work area/office
- Meet deadlines
- Recommend ways to improve production methods, and product quality
- Record keeping
- Research and select products
- Use the SchoolDude work order system
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Machine and equipment set-up and operation
- Operation, maintenance, and installation of HVAC-R systems including:
- Air conditioners
- Building automation systems
- Chillers
- Heaters
- Hydronic systems
- Ice machines
- Pneumatics
- Refrigeration units
- Sheet metal and ductwork
- Steam
- Planning and prioritizing jobs & projects
- Provide back-up coverage for the CoGen plant on alternate weekends
- Working knowledge of all types of maintenance and repairs including major appliances
- Other duties as assigned
Desirable Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma required, College Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience
- One year HVAC-R experience required, more preferred
- Training and experience in various systems including but not limited to electrical, electronic, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic
Certificates & Licenses
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certificate required
- State ofCalifornia Class C License required
Compensation
Hourly; Compensation based on education and experience: $20-25 per hour
