Life at PUC
Kinesiology

The biggest news from the Kinesiology Department is that Dr. Robert Paulson retired in July 2023. Bob taught at PUC for 30 years, and during his tenure, he developed and maintained an excellent intramural program and created RecRadio. He shepherded hundreds of students to great success at PUC and beyond. Though we can never replace Bob (his shoes are much too big), we welcome Dr. Wayne Borin as our newest kinesiology faculty. Wayne, Professor Matthew Evans, and several adjunct professors guide our current exercise science and physical education majors on their academic journey.
Professor Elaine Neudeck started teaching in the PUC Kinesiology Department in 1991 and retired in June 2020. Though she continues teaching as an adjunct, she plans to scale back even further after this academic year. As a result, we have started the search for an additional faculty member to join the Kinesiology Department. A complete job description and application link are on PUC's postings website.
Most of our exercise science majors pursue physical therapy. Recently, PUC signed a guaranteed admission agreement with Andrews University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, promising qualified PUC students a seat and giving them a competitive advantage in that they have clear expectations and receive personal guidance and help to meet those expectations.
